Thursday, March 5th, 6:00pm
$8, 21 and over

Lords of the Soulhouse
You'll never know what will happen when this unique artist collective comes together turning every event into a spontaneous happening. Their willingness to break musical barriers combined with the openness to mix turntablism, electronic elements, ethnic percussion and whatever melodic instrument they can get a hold on creates instant magic. Add beautiful dancers and you know you'd better mark their dates in your calendar. Since their sudden and unexpected appearance at the black cat ball 2006 the Lords of the Soulhouse rock the party - guaranteed.

Earth Steppa
Joey Catalano, aka Pom, aka Earth Steppa, aka Alpha Naughty Dirt 30, has been addicted to making Beats since age 7. It started off with banging on his brother's drum set until he was able to convince his parents to get him one of his own. From that point on Joey slowly began to play more instruments and found that he had a talent for rhythm. From that Earth Steppa was born." I love dub step... Tribal roots is what I think of when I produce and spin this music... Playing kit drum dub step is a very powerful experience for me and I do not take it lightly. I'm a student of dread bass & beats and I go to school every day.”

Zen Pluto w/DOA
Zen Pluto is a European artist and producer sending from the backyards of Santa Barbara, California.

fond of Elsies? fond of art? fond of creating art with a "DOTH" (day of the dead) theme?

My one man show opens Thurs. Nov1 and I could use a little help filling the place up.

I'll hang the artwork and supply beer, wine and food for opening night.

It will be a blast and you might even sell something

Contact "starpower" (I apologize for the name, really, bad acid?) at tribe or

Mark @ 805 450 8340

show lasts entire month of November

Everything is now in place for a fantastic time brought to you by the TCO. We are very proud to have Dj Rilla back with us, for those of you who have been paying close attention, you remember he was booked for one our very first parties Peak Frontier. Unfortunately due to our local friendly men in uniform, the satisfaction of hearing his blazing skills were postponed until now. Danny Mesa is back with a vengeance, representing the 805 like few can, as old school and true as a dj can be. We finally have Puppy Kicker on board, this talented artist and dj is a force to be reckoned with, and what would a jungle party without a Loud Ass Bastard? Synr will be sharing a set with StepCorrect so expect conscious hip hop, trip hop, dubstep goodness. For the first time we are going to offer shuttle service, yes, we will come and pick you up at home and take you home at the end of the night! Please take full advantage of this if you have been drinking, you're too valuble to lose. 570-4299 for a ride. Muddy Waters does have a nice beer and wine selection for those of you interested. The location is 508 E. Haley St
See you there,
Synr

Happy New Year's Thanks!

A Giant Thanks to all the folks who supported the impromptu New Years party at Pescadrome. That was a lotta great music, a ridiculous amount of champaign, ice, and some great folks with whom to share a grand event.

Fishbon, TCO, and WoM really know how to pull this these things together with minimal direction. And a big thanks to all the folks who contributed libations, treats, and art (and of course, cash to help sustain the Pescadrome!)

May Our 2007 be the Best Year Ever!!!

he's very interested in coming down

he also said he'd be willing to give a presentation in the New Year
i told him we'd provide dinner and drinks (me and Pope) if he did

we just saw The Prestige and N. Tesla was one of the characters
so we're really stoked to find out more about his theories, etc.

LIVE INTERACTIVE AUDIO VIDEO and RE-INVENTING the COPIER

Tonight's going to be extreme. We'll be checking out the Live Interactive Audio Video Project from UCSB's Media Arts and Technology Lab at the Pescadrome. It's a multiple projector, multiple input extravaganza with live video feed and four simultaneous input controllers. Don't miss this extremely cool final project from Wes, Dano, Graham and Lance. But first, we'll meet at the Fishbon Studio on Helena to re-construct the Deconstructed Office Copier we played with last week. Not only is it not likely to do anything useful, it's sure to be the most useless object ever created. So, bring libations and join us at the Fishbon Studio, 46 Helena in Santa Barbara. The fun starts at 7:30. For information call 805-453-5246 or check out the blog at: http://www.fishboneventlab.blogspot.com/
A condition in which one type of stimulation evokes the sensation of another, as when the hearing of a sound produces the visualization of a color.
A sensation felt in one part of the body as a result of stimulus applied to another, as in referred pain.
3/25/06

JustUs pro. is happy to announce the second Synesthesia of the year. We will return to Muddy Waters for another fantastic display of underground talent. Djs from 9-130 will take you through a journey of diverse forms of electronica. Last month the vibe was off the hook and I am looking forward to seeing this one go off even better. If we can outdo the last one, we are going to have a seriously sick party. We will have laser lights, live projection, & 4000 watts of sound.
This party will also be a benefit party to help support the original owner of the soundsystem that was donated to us for the causes we have lived and danced by for nearly 6 years. The rest of the proceeds go straight back into maintainence for the soundsystem.
This is a special event and will most likely be the last one we will do @ Muddy Waters for the rest of the year. So lets go out with a bang!
Virtual Fishbon Event Lab now open 24/7 on Second Life

After an evening of searching for just the right neighborhood, financial machinations and heavy construction Alex and Clay succeeded in establishing the first ever Fishbon Event Lab in cyberspace. The project is a scale model of the actual studio at 46 Helena in Santa Barbara, except this virtual home is on the waterfront in the Second Life neighborhood of Celerio. One neighbor, a hottie named Jamie has a teahouse (she's into Zen) and a woodsy retreat in the sky above her property complete with waterfall and pool. Our property looks out on the yacht club. Behind us is criminal punk mastermind Galante Famiglia's gambling operation with Darth Santa at the blackjack table. There are boutiques and classy residences, things to do and see. To find out more about Second Life and open a free account, go to http://www.secondlife.com/. Alex is the resident Virtual Fishbon Cell guru and you can email him at: lxpk@empowerthyself.com

Fashion Cell Workdays

Yesterday at Reds we did the first Fishbon Fashion Cell workday. It was cool to get started modifying (read fucking up) jackets as a first step toward looks for the first Fashion Cell Offensive scheduled for September 2006. The space worked out really well..lots of tables for sewing and cutting and floor space for painting and riveting. The question is: how often should we do this? Is every other Sunday enough, or should it be every week. Obviously, the closer we get to September, the more often we'll want to meet. What do you all think?

NASA has developed a program they call World Wind. It is available for free download.

How to describe it...It allows you to zoom out and look at the world from space, and then zoom in ANYWHERE. As you zoom in closer, satellite imagery is downloaded to your computer to fill in "blank" areas.

Here's a link
